1. Agreement to these terms

By using this website or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. These terms do not reduce any right you have under Pakistani consumer law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the day you place your order, and we keep the review date at the top of the page current.

2. Who may use the site

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. By ordering you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method you select.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has gained access.

We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, that abuses our staff, or that repeatedly refuses cash-on-delivery parcels it ordered. Where we close an account we will tell you why.

4. Products, pricing and availability

We describe our products as accurately as we can. Rice is an agricultural product, so grain appearance, aroma intensity and cooking behaviour vary slightly between harvests. Photographs are illustrative.

Prices are shown in Pakistani Rupees and are the price you pay for the goods. Delivery is shown separately at checkout. All prices and totals are calculated on our server from our product records at the moment you place the order - a price displayed in a stale browser tab is not binding on either of us.

Stock figures are live but not reserved until an order is placed. If an item sells out between you adding it to your cart and checking out, we will tell you at checkout rather than after taking your order.

If an obvious pricing error occurs - a decimal in the wrong place, for instance - we are not obliged to supply at that price. We will contact you, and you may either confirm at the corrected price or cancel for a full refund.

5. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our confirmation page and the order reference are an acknowledgement that we received it, not yet an acceptance. The contract forms when we dispatch the goods.

We may decline an order where:

• the item is out of stock or has been withdrawn;
• we cannot deliver to the address given;
• we cannot verify the contact details, and a confirmation call goes unanswered; or
• we reasonably suspect fraud or resale in breach of a wholesale agreement.

Where we decline an order that has already been paid for, we refund it in full.

6. Payment

We accept:

• Cash on delivery - pay the courier on receipt. Please have the exact amount; couriers often cannot give change.
• Bank transfer - we email the account details after you order. Goods ship once payment clears, and orders unpaid after 5 working days are cancelled.

We do not collect card details on this site and never ask for them by email or phone. Anyone who does is not us.

7. Delivery

Delivery is free on orders above PKR 10,000; below that a flat rate of PKR 350 applies within Pakistan. Timescales quoted are working-day estimates, not guarantees, and exclude delays caused by weather, strikes, road closures or an incorrect address.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please check the parcel on arrival and refuse it if the outer packaging is visibly damaged - that is far easier to resolve than a claim after acceptance.

8. Cancellation, returns and refunds

You may cancel an order yourself while it is still pending or processing, from My Orders. After dispatch, cancellation becomes a return.

Sealed packs may be returned within 7 days of delivery. Because rice is a food product, opened packs are only returnable where there is a genuine quality defect. The full procedure and exclusions are on our returns and refunds page.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to place fraudulent orders;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, account or server;
• probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems without written permission;
• scrape the site systematically or place automated bulk orders;
• submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes anyone's rights; or
• misrepresent yourself as a Golden One employee or agent.

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it to info@goldenonepvtltd.com rather than exploiting it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and gives us time to fix it.

10. Intellectual property

The Golden One name, logo, product photography, page copy and site design are our property or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not republish our content, use our branding on your own packaging, or present our product photography as your own.

11. Liability

We take responsibility for supplying goods that match their description and are of satisfactory quality. Where we fail to do that, we will replace the goods or refund you, and we will cover the cost of returning defective goods.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss - lost profit, lost business, or the cost of a substituted purchase. Our total liability for any order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Force majeure

Neither party is in breach for a delay caused by events outside its reasonable control - natural disaster, epidemic, war, civil unrest, government action, strike, or failure of utilities or telecommunications. If such an event prevents delivery for more than 30 days, either of us may cancel the affected order and we will refund it in full.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of Karachi have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Before going to court, please contact us. Almost every dispute we have seen was a misunderstanding that a phone call resolved in ten minutes, and we would rather fix a problem than argue about it.

14. General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continue to apply. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours if our business is sold, provided your rights are unaffected.

These terms, together with our privacy policy, shipping policy and returns policy, form the whole agreement between us regarding your use of this site.
